Steven B. Chroman is a highly experienced and well respected family law attorney, with a strong background in both litigation and mediation. Mr. Chroman has successfully handled many high conflict and multifaceted cases from commencement of a dissolution matter, through conclusion, that range from high-conflict custody disputes, high net worth individuals, international disputes, pre and post marital agreement matters and domestic violence matters. In addition to dissolution, Mr. Chroman handles all aspects of family law, including domestic partnerships and paternity matters.
Mr. Chroman obtained his Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minor in business from the University of Southern California in1990. He then went on to obtain his law degree from Arizona State University in1994. After law school, Mr. Chroman continued his legal education and obtained his Master of Laws in Taxation (Ll.M.) from Golden Gate University, with Honors in 1995.
Mr. Chroman is licensed to practice law before all Court of the State of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has specialized in family law since 2000. Mr. Chroman has served as a mediator, both for the Los Angeles Superior Court and privately, successfully handling hundreds of mediation matters. Prior to specializing in family law, Mr. Chroman was a civil litigation attorney, focused on class action litigation matters involving the largest public corporations in America.
For the past consecutive four years (2021 – 2024), Mr. Chroman has been a recognized “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor and privilege bestowed upon only the top 5% of the attorneys in the country. As well, Mr. Chroman has been a top rated lawyer with Avvo from 2014 to present and has received the honor of Valley Trusted Advisor with the San Fernando Valley Business Journal in 2014 & 2015. Mr. Chroman has served on the Board of Directors for the Santa Clarita Valley Domestic Violence Center, and holds memberships with the Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, San Fernando and State of California.
