Divorce
A "divorce" is also known as dissolution of marriage, or dissolution of domestic partnership. Once all of the proper papers are filed, your marriage or domestic partnership ends. You are then single and free to marry or enter into another domestic partnership. California has a solely "no-fault" divorce policy, which means that either partner or spouse may ask for a divorce without having to demonstrate any sort of wrongdoing by the other partner or spouse.
During the divorce proceeding, you are able to ask the judge for other orders, such as child support, spousal support, partner support, custody and visitation, domestic violence restraining orders, and division of assets.

Your attorney should be highly familiar with the courts in which your divorce is likely to be handled. Our office knows and understands why family law courts make decisions the way that they do. It is with that knowledge that we can tailor our strategy towards providing an effective resolution that is in your best interests. A divorce is typically a fact-sensitive matter and we are committed to making sure each fact is given its full importance throughout the process.
Our goal is to put your worries to rest. We understand that this can be a complex and often unsettling undertaking. It is our goal to make the process as easy as possible. Because each case contains a different set of factual and legal inquiries, the individualized treatment that we give to such problems is of the utmost importance. We encourage you to contact our office and set up an initial consultation.
