Child Support

As part of the divorce settlement, you may require or become responsible for child support. Child support is ongoing monetary expenditures and payments necessary to cover a child's living and medical expenses. Both parents have a legal duty to provide financial support for their children, whether or not they are custodial parents. Both or either parent may be ordered by the court to pay child support. In calculating the amount, the court looks to each parent's monthly income and the amount of time each parent spends with the children. Our law firm will work with you to ensure the court is aware of your financial needs to ensure a fair settlement.
